No emotions, so does he feel bad?

The age old question of, "Would you rather to have love and lost or never loved at all." Makes a person wonder. If experiences did not evoke any emotions from us, would we visit the Eiffel Tower or travel to the Sahara? There would be no point because there would be no benefit stemming from the positive experience or knowledge of what to do better next time if the experience was disappointing.

The lack of emotions that run the novel, The Stanger by Albert Camus were frustrating as the reader, however, we were given the chance to peek into Meursault's view of the world and his reactions (or lack thereof) of the events that take place in his life. Meursault never tries to take control of the world or any of the events in his life, he just lets them happen and is not phased when they do not work out in his favor, therefore, Meursault is piloted by fate because he does not do anything to promote or detain events brought on by those around him or others' ideas from taking hold of his life.
